Jumanji, the popular fantasty-adventure movie from the 1990’s is set to become the next big branded game release from NetEnt. The Award-winning Sweden-based provider of digital gaming solutions has revealed that it is collaborating with Sony Pictures Entertainment in its latest branded games deal with Sony Pictures Consumer Products.
The new Jumanji slot will be launched later this year and is likely to be welcome nostalgia for fans of the film and fans of the late Robin Williams, who starred as the movie’s title character when it hit theatres back in 1995.
The release of the game follows on the success of Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle, the second film in the franchise. Although not an actual sequel to the original movie, Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle is based on the similar premise of young people playing a magical game that becomes all too real. The current film is still playing in theatres and has so far grossed over $676 million in global box office.
Those who would like a sneak peek of the Jumanji Slot can head to NetEnt’s stand at ICE 2018, where the iGaming provider will be unveiling another branded title.
