PlayOJO Casino Launches TV AD Starring Geoff Bell
PlayOJO.com isn't keeping quiet about its recent launch into the iGaming industry last month. On the contrary, the ground-breaking online casino has big plans for the UK market, recently launching a multi-million pound television campaign in the UK.
PlayOJO teamed up with London-based advertising agency 101 and rolled out its first TV ad on 24th March, 2017 which aired on Channel 4, Sky, and digital channels. It was shot by award-winning director Chris Woods and stars English actor Geoff Bell, who is known for his roles in films The Business, Green Street Hooligans, and Kingsman: The Secret Service.
The 40-second ad features Bell as a disgruntled PlayOJO employee who represents the "old" way of operating an online casino. The commercial starts with Bell's character venting his disgust about how PlayOJO gives money back to its players on every bet and he quits on the spot, viciously biting off the top of a pen and spitting it out before storming out of the office. He leaves the company in an hilarious rage, stapling an employee's plush toy to a pillar and squashing the sandwich of another employee in his hand, all the while ranting with ink running down his chin. The ad ends with the tagline: "Not bad for an online casino."
The ad was designed to highlight what makes PlayOJO casino unique compared to its competitors. This includes giving control back to the player with money back on every bet, no wagering requirements and generous rewards. This is all part of PlayOJO.com's plan to challenge other brands in the UK.
Commenting on the ad, PlayOJO co-founder Ohad Narkis explained that "The key message we wanted to communicate was that with PlayOJO there are no catches. What you see is absolutely what you get."
